PAHRUMP VALLEY WINEYARDS
The only winery in Nevada. A white wine produced at the Pahrump Valley Vineyards captured honors at last year's prestigious San Francisco International Wine Competition (SFIWC). The SFIWC judges awarded thePahrump winery's Symphony variety of white wine a double gold medal, this in competition against more than 4,200 wines from around the world.

PAHRUMP VALLEY POW WOW
The first residents of Pahrump Valley were Native Americans. Their spirit and culture has been maintained in our community through a modern Pow Wow held every November at Petrack Park. The first Pahrump Valley Pow Wow was held in 1998, bringing 4,000 participants and spectators from all over the United States. This year, 2000, will be the third annual Pow Wow sponsored by the Pahrump Valley Chamber of Commerce and will feature vendors selling authentic handmade goods, food booths, traditional native american music, singing and dancing. CHALLENGE OF CHAMPIONS MILITARY RODEO
Members of the Military Rodeo Cowboy Association, Professional Rodeo Cowboys and Amateurs come from all over the US and Canada to compete in a Military Rodeo held at McCollough Arena each Spring. Fans are delighted to attend and see our nation's finest compete in their own brand of rodeo, such as Chute Doggin', an event created for members of the military.
